Alissa Fugazzi, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of North Dakota in 2006. She has been practicing social work since 2002 and has experience working in both state and private agencies prior to founding Resilient U.
Alissa provides individual therapy for children and adults and works with a wide range of concerns. Her areas of focus include mental health assessment and treatment planning for anxiety, depression, life adjustments, trauma, self-harm behaviors, anger management, and attachment-related challenges, including those related to foster care and adoption.
Appointments are available in person or through telehealth.

Somatic Experiential Play Therapy (SEPT) utilizes play based metaphor and somatic tracking to support a child’s nervous system in therapeutic, child-directed, experiential play. SEPT is rooted in Somatic Experiencing created by Peter Levine and Experiential Play Therapy created by Byron Norton.
The integration of these two theories creates a fantastic mechanism for change that allows children to use their natural language, play, to find healing within.
Video Intervention Therapy (VIT) helps patients better to understand, and to change, how they interact with others.
With the therapist’s support, the patient looks at a video of herself interacting with someone else. What she, and the other, do with their bodies is reflected upon. What they say with words is also reflected upon. Body techniques may be also used to deepen the exploration.
An evidence-based, relational therapy for children aged 0-5 and their caregivers, designed to heal trauma, attachment disruptions, and behavioral issues. It strengthens the caregiver-child bond, improves emotional regulation, and resolves behavioral problems resulting from trauma or acute stress.
Evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents impacted by trauma and their parents or caregivers. Research shows that TF-CBT successfully resolves a broad array of emotional and behavioral difficulties associated with single, multiple and complex trauma experiences.

Manually-guided and empirically-supported group treatment designed to improve the emotional, social, academic, and behavioral functioning of adolescents exposed to chronic interpersonal trauma and/or separate types of trauma.
